Wild Play at Ecclesall Woods

📍 Venue: JG Graves Woodland Discovery Centre
260 Abbey Ln, S7 2QZ
🎤 Hosted by: Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust
About the Event
Love playing and exploring outside? Join us for springtime fun this May half term! We will be painting with berries, making art, planting a seed to take home plus all the usual games and wildlife entertainment. We’re also part of the Children’s University!
Our WILD PLAY events are perfect for children approximately 3-9 yrs. Younger siblings may attend for free with a paying child but we don’t expect them to participate (because the activities are not aimed at their age group). You only need to book a ticket for the participating children, but adults must stay too.
Although we’re in the woods, its best to leave your dogs at home please.
The event is 2 hours and is totally outside whatever the weather, so prepare for woodland (muddy) conditions and a small stream crossing. The woodland is not accessible and involves crossing a small stream with steep muddy banks (not recommended for prams, but possible if needed). Please ask us if you want more clarification.
We want to set off on our adventure promptly so please make sure to
arrive on time so you’re not left behind!
Booking a ticket is essential to attend this event. Cost £8:00
Facilities and parking: There are public toilets and a car park at the Discovery Centre. If it is full, we politely ask you NOT to park on any roadside verges on Abbey Lane, please park around the corner on Whirlowdale Road, and walk to the entrance. Allow an extra few minutes for this.
