The programme goes to print next week so we can't accept any more entries for the hard copy. You can still put your events up on the website though so get cracking!

Launch Day

We are now gathering requests for groups to have stalls at the launch day on Saturday 24th April. Stalls for information and fundraising are welcome, no commercial stalls please. Its a first come first served basis and we request a £25 deposit that is refunded on the day. For more information contact info@sheffieldenvironment.org.

Application forms available now

The application form for entry into the 2010 printed programme of events for Sheffield Environment Weeks is now available. The weeks run from the Launch event (city centre Saturday 24th April 2010) right up until Sunday 6th June. Any events submitted onto the website that are to be held between these dates will be included in the programme. If you don't want to enter your event on the website but do want it including in the programme you can fill in an application form and send it back, but please mark the application form with "programme only".

We're really looking forward to seeing what events you have planned for next year. I've heard about lots of exciting things that are in the pipeline! Happy planning.

A great big THANK YOU!

Sheffield Environment Weeks won a Lifetime Achievement and the Overall Winner award at the Sheffield Telegraph Environment Awards on Thursday 15th October. We would like to thank every one who has been involved over the years, the groups, the sponsors, and Sheffield City Council for all of their support. It has been a joint effort to get where we are today, and hopefully by continuing to work together we'll be enjoying Sheffield Environment Weeks for years to come. Successful Lottery bid

Successful Lottery bid

Sheffield Environment Weeks working group were successful in getting a substantial sum of money from the Awards for All grant to develop a new website. It is still being developed and we welcome your input and comments.

The money is also going towards publicity posters available to all groups who put on event next year and equipment and training for the group members so they can update the website with your news.

We are hoping that the website will attract a new audience to Sheffield Environment Weeks which will help it to continue for another 25 years!

More Funding News

The Town Trust has given us a grant of £2000 to go towards the cost of producing programmes next year. Thanks to Pat and Joanne for all their hard work in bidding for this award.

They are hoping to be successful with the Sheffield Town Trust too.

We need to raise quite a lot of money to support our programme of events next year, so if you know how we can raise the extra £3000 needed please let us know. We cannot use the Lottery funding for the programme.
