Sheffield Environment Weeks 2012 Launch

Sheffield Environment Weeks 2012 will be officially launched by The Right Worshipful the Lord Mayor of Sheffield, Councillor Dr Sylvia Dunkley. Stalls, including plant sales and Free shop; attractions and The Loxley Silver Band.

Deadline extension

The deadline for entries on to the website has been extended to 17 Feb 2012. We are sure there are still wonderful events happening out there so don't miss your chance of some free publicity. We are still hoping for more sponsorship to help cover the programme's production costs. Contact Saskia for details on 273 4221.

AGM

The Sheffield Environment Weeks AGM will be held on Tuesday 18th October at Sheffield Town Hall.

Arrive 6:30 for a 6:45 start, 7:30 finish. Please use the back door off Surrey Street.

We will be appointing a whole new working comittee:

Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Web support member, Publicity member, Fundrasing member.

Full role descriptions are available, please ask. Nominations to posts welcome before and at the AGM.

New free community event toolkit

Considering putting on an event for Sheffield Environment Weeks 2012 but don't know where to start? Zurich Insurance have put together an online guide to help you! The toolkit looks really easy to use and goes through a series of online questions. It gives guidance on health and safety, insurance, planning and legal issues and creates a personalised toolkit pack for you. It is suitable for smaller groups, not for registered charities or organisations already running large events.

Bargain Compost Bin Sale !

Veolia would like to invite you to our one day compost bin sale on Saturday 10^thSeptember.

Grab a bargain and get a compost bin for £12, a water butt for £21 and bags of compost for only £3 each!

The one day sale will be held at Stannington Park Pavilion, Uppergate Road, S6 6BX between 10am and 3pm.

Now that the events in the Programme have been completed, we would love to hear about the success of your events and what you think about the programme this year so we can complete a review. Please complete the form and send it back to us as soon as possible. The next working party meeting is on 21 June and we will be discussing this years events then. Plese email us if you would like to attend the meeting as the venue has yet to be decided.
