Description Have a go at dry stone walling with CPRE Peak District and South Yorkshire. Places are limited. Email cassa.townsend@cprepdsy.org.uk to reserve your free space or visit https://www.cprepdsy.org.uk/get-involved/events/ to find out more. No previous experience is required, as dry stone walling expert Will Husband, from the local company Peak Walling, along with CPRE Peak District staff and volunteers, will provide guidance and assistance. The ongoing improvements to the woodland are made possible thanks to grants from The DoreVillage Society and CPRE Hedgerow Heroes. We are CPRE Peak District and South Yorkshire, the countryside charity. Our goal is to create a thriving and beautiful countryside that can be enjoyed by everyone. In celebration of our centenary, we would like to invite you to join us and help repair the dry stone boundary wall at Haythornthwaite Wood near Dore. This woodland is located on the outskirts of Sheffield, just 1km away from the boundary of the Peak District National Park. It holds sentimental value as it was planted indedication to the founders of our charity, Ethel and Gerald Haythornthwaite.
