Organised By Friends of Firth Park

Description The Friends Gardening Club has been set up to help with tasks in designated areas of the park, around the bowling green, park planters and the zig zag sensory garden. We’ll be doing jobs agreed with Andy the park Head Gardener e.g. weeding, clearing dead leaves, edging beds, some simple tasks like planting up bedding plants and repositioning plants. Please wear appropriate clothes and stout shoes. Equipment will be provided although volunteers are welcome to bring their own if they prefer. A friendly group which welcomes new volunteers – stay as long as you are able to. Children are welcome to come along so long as they are supervised by a responsible adult – we usually recommend a litter pick with the kids as they love the kids’ picker kits.
