| Description | Froggatt Edge. This is a challenging 5.5 mile walk which will take around 2.5 hours to complete. To start with the walk takes us mainly on field paths, partly alongside the River Derwent, until we reach the village of Froggatt where we head up a long steep incline to Froggatt Edge. After enjoying the amazing views from the Edge, we return to the starting point via Hay Wood and Nether Padley. As well as the steep uphill section up to the Edge, there are some tricky downhill sections along rocky paths on the way back.Meet at 9.0 at the Norfolk Arms for tea/coffee and to register. £10 charge is payable to the pub and includes a light lunch and refreshments before and after the walk. |
