Talk by John Blewitt who has worked and fished on the river for about 40 years. He has been awarded a couple of local environmental awards and spoken on Radio Sheffield about the Don. The talk at the pub is about how the river went into decline mentioning key dates and people. That’s the first half, the second bit is about it came alive and who in his opinion where the key players. Because it’s an angling club, He is using fish, invertebrates and animals as the barometer. The final message will be how we can all play a part and be guardians’ of the water course and how it is important to life |
