Description | The Canal was opened from Tinsley to Sheffield in 1819. Walk led by Graham Hague, from Sheffield Canal Basin (adjoining Park Square) along Canal towpath to Tinsley Locks. We shall look at the locks and other engineering features, and adjoining historic buildings. Bring a picnic lunch. Return by tram or bus. (There are options to return earlier). |
