Description | A walk for members of the public including children, focusing on listening for bats using acoustic detectors. We will also meet up with a moth and bat trapping group at the dam pond to see what they have caught. Here we will also be able to search for amphibians and dragonfly larvae with torches. Other nocturnal wildlife may also be about, such as Woodcock and Tawny Owls. All tools and equipment will be provided but please bring a torch and wear strong boots and warm clothing. Joint event with S Yorks Bat Group. |
