Description | We are trying to improve some of the areas below Wharncliffe Crags, for wildlife and livestock. After clearing areas of bracken brash we attract the livestock to the area with a salt lick and herb-rich hay. Their trampling further weakens the bracken and the livestock spread meadow seed in their stools. So the livestock do most of the hard work but we have to get the ball rolling. Hand tools and training provided, but please bring your own lunch and wear tough outdoor clothes and stout boots |
