Organised By | Wharncliffe Heathlands Trust |
Bus Route | Supertram Link, 57 |
Description | Heathland is a great place for lichens, with lots of woody and stoney surfaces to grow on and a lot of light. Wharncliffe Heath suffered from severe air pollution for many decades and is still recovering. Seeing as most of our lichen records go back to 2008, we hope to find some new arrivals. The event is led by lichenologist Steve Price from Sorby NHS, and this is a joint event with Sorby Natural History Society |
