Description | Carlo Rovelli: The Order of Time Live Screening from the British Library Discover the latest work by theoretical physicist Carlo Rovelli, whose Seven Brief Lessons on Physics became one of the fastest-selling science books ever. In his new work, Rovelli explores the problem that has driven a lifetime of research: what is time? Rovelli shows that in fact time is a thing with differing layers, from the fundamental level where it disappears, up through the mechanistic, thermodynamic, biological systems which impose their different orders, to the illusory, emotional, human experience of time. He is joined in conversation by writer and academic Eva Hoffman. Booking for this event is via www.sheffieldlibraries.eventbrite.co.uk If you require more details contact the library. |
