Description | Want to gain confidence in identifying trees and woodland plants? Interested to know about woodland habitats and how people have shaped them through history? Want to find out more about how volunteers are managing the woodland today? Join Sheffield Woodland Connections as we guide interpretive walks through Ecclesall Woods. Drawing from our expertise and interests, we will reveal the magic of the largest ancient semi-natural woodland in South Yorkshire. This walk is a free event. Maximum 25 people per walk. The walks will be approximately 90 minutes long and will stick to marked footpaths. Sensible footwear is a must as paths are muddy. All are welcome but the walks are not aimed at young children, although kids with a passion for learning about nature are encouraged to join us. Please meet us 10 minutes before the start time outside the Woodland Discovery Centre. |
