Meet At | Norfolk Arms pub 2 Ringinglow Village Sheffield S11 7TS |
Organised By | Norfolk Arms Ringinglow Walking Group |
Description | Higgar Tor walk. This is quite a challenging walk which takes us through moorland and up a fairly steep rocky face to reach the top of local landmark Higgar Tor. Standing at 1424 feet above sea level, and although situated in the Peak District, Higgar Tor is still within the Sheffield City boundary, and from the top of it offers unrivalled views of the area. Stout footwear is a must on this walk as some of the route is quite rocky and can be slippery after rain. Meet at the pub for tea/coffee before the walk and to register. £10 charge payable to the pub includes lunch and drinks before and after the walk. New walkers all welcome. |
