| Description | Mayfield Valley. 8 mile walk through the historical valley to Lodge Moor where the route takes us along Redmires Conduit and through Brown Edge back to the start. Good paths make this an easy going walk, but good footwear is necessary as there will be a good deal of mud en route. Stout footwear is a must as some of the route is quite rocky and can be slippery after rain. Meet at the pub for tea/coffee before the walk and to register. £10 charge payable to the pub includes lunch and drinks before and after the walk. New walkers all welcome. |
