| Description | 3.5 mile wander around the Mayfield Valley, steeped in history but little known to most people. Good paths, and just one uphill section make this a fairly easy walk. Suitable footwear for muddy conditions is a must though. Stout footwear is a must as some of the route is quite rocky and can be slippery after rain. Meet at the pub for tea/coffee before the walk and to register. £10 charge payable to the pub includes lunch and drinks before and after the walk. New walkers all welcome. |
