| Description | This month sees the 160th anniversary of Wardsend Cemetery. As we continue on our journey to sensitively conserve this missing piece of Sheffield's heritage the Friends of Wardsend Cemetery invite you to a special event to mark the occasion. We are delighted to announce our special guests will be Gill Furniss MP, who will be opening the event, and The Lord-Lieutenant, Mr. Andrew Coombe who will be joining us for part of the afternoon. Music will be provided by The Loxley Silver Band. We believe this will be the first time a brass band has played at Wardsend for over 100 years.
