Meet At | At the bottom of the steps up to Wardsend Cemetery behind Owlerton Statium Wardsend Cemetery can be accessed from Club Mill Road at the far end of Livesey street which runs between Owlerton Stadium and Sheffield College. As you cross over the River Don you will see the steps to the cemetery in front of you. There is a small car park below the cemetery and on road parking on the river side of Livesey Street before the bridge. For Sat Navs use S6 2ET (Sheffield College) and continue to the end of the street. |

Description | Hear about the history of Wardsend Cemetery which has stood on its site by the River Don for the last 160 years. This cemetery is the last resting place of over 30,000 Sheffield and district people as well as military personnel from the nearby Sheffield (Hillsborough) Barracks. In the course of more than a century and a half, a wide variety of flora and fauna have also begun to call the cemetery home. Thebluebells should be in full bloom |
