Description Nature Counts True Bluebells On the half hour from 10:30am – 2:30pm Garden introductions of Spanish Bluebells have escaped into our ancient woodlands or hybridised with the native populations. Sheffield & Rotherham Wildlife Trust Nature Counts team will lead short walks on the half hour, where they will describe the differences between the British, Spanish and hybrid bluebells and the threats to our woodland flora. No booking required. Drop in on the day. Join us at Spring In The Woods event at Ecclesall Woods to learn about native British bluebells and the threats that they face from Spanish invasives. Garden introductions of Spanish Bluebells have escaped into our ancient woodlands or hybridised with the native populations. Short walks on the half hour, where they will describe the differences between the British, Spanish and hybrid bluebells and the threats to our woodland flora. Join us every hour on the half hour from 10:30am – 2:30pm: walks start at 10.30am, 11.30am, 12.30pm, 1.30pm and 2.30pm. Each walk will last approximately half an hour. This is a free event but we encourage donations towards our bluebell appeal.
