Meet At | R Don bridge, Station Road, Deepcar S36 2SQ |
Organised By | Wharncliffe Heathlands Trust |
Bus Route | 57/Supertram Link from Middlewood |
Description | Join us for fresh air, good views and exercise as we clear an area of bracken just below the crags. We will then encourage the livestock to use that area, and trample the remaining bracken to favour the growth of herbs and heather. We have learned that this approach favours insects, reptiles and birds. Hand tools and training will be provided, but please bring your own lunch and refreshment. A tough pair of boots is essential, and bring gardening gloves if you have them. |
