Description ‘Ron Clayton the son of a Crookes fishmonger though allergic to fish.’ In this nostalgic and easy going walk along Crookes he talks about the characters of Crookes in the sixties when it was a community of small shops. Hear about the early days of Joe Cocker Conger Eel, The Chinese Laundry Murder, and The Ruth Ellis connection, Tea & Scones with the Woodheads, The Haunted Shop and Christmas at 205 Crookes. Meet outside the Grindstone pub (S10 1UA) and finish at Bole Hill Lane.
